Previously known as KP Slezak Consulting, Kim started the business in 2008 after marrying Gerald and moving to Nebraska from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Computer and GIS contracting gigs dominated work load with not many people looking for forestry expertise in the ag-centric area. The name was changed to Slezak Ag and Natural Resources in 2014 when Gerald became a Certified Crop Adviser.

GIS software use was primarily ESRI products, with open source and web avenues being explored to provide clients with the best solution in both efficiency and cost.
